APPLICATION OPENS APRIL 2026

One (1) Traveling Fellowship Grant will be awarded, with funding up to a maximum of $5,000.

CRITERIA
Applicants must:

• Be a member of MAOA or have applied for membership by July 1, 2026
• Be under the age of 45 as of the application deadline (July 1, 2026)
• Be a United States citizen or have applied for U.S. citizenship
• Be board-certified
• Currently practice and be located within the 20-state Mid-America region
• Complete the fellowship at an institution within the MAOA region

If selected, the recipient must submit a written report upon completion of the fellowship and attend the next MAOA Annual Meeting to present a brief podium presentation. Registration for the Annual Meeting will be waived for the recipient and one guest.
